SEO - Search Engine Optimization

The most competitive area in web development today is search engine optimization.  The funny/sad thing is that most people look at SEO as if it were a separate, rather abstract pursuit.

But unless I miss my guess, you didn't build your website for search engines - you built it for people!  And the purpose of your website is to further the goals of your organization - either to make the cash register ring, get more orders, more leads, more volunteers, build customer loyalty, etc.

Well my friend, that is the realm of marketing.  If you have some twenty-something web kid who can't even spell marketing, do your website and SEO work, don't expect your cash register to ring off the wall!
